I have had the opportunity to work with Pam Butterfield as my business coach and consultant over the last six months. I have known Pam professionally for several years and have always been impressed with her ability to identify underlying issues and provide practical suggestions for improvement. When I decided that I wanted to take my professional practice to the next level, I naturally thought of Pam as a resource.

Pam was instrumental in helping me develop an action plan with steps, timetables and resources to grow my practice. We started the process with a one-on-one strategic planning meeting. At this meeting Pam helped me identify the gap between my current practice and my desired practice. Pam then helped me to develop a plan to help me move towards my desired practice.

As part of this process, Pam urged me to review (and, for a change, to evaluate) the raw data available to me about my business. I looked at types of clients, types of services, revenues, profits, etc. in order to identify changes that would further my goals.

Pam also helped by providing written planning tools summarizing the actions that I had resolved to take to grow my practice. These reflect detailed ‘action’ items, timetables (set by me) as well as an acknowledgment of progress made throughout the process. As a result of working with Pam, I have seen big improvements in my practice already. I finally took the leap of hiring (part-time) administrative help, which has freed up time for me to devote to effective marketing specifically designed to help me achieve my goals. I have also added a new type of service to benefit my existing client base.

Most important, I am confident that the actions I am taking will lead to the growth of my practice. These changes will improve not only client satisfaction, but owner satisfaction (for me) as well!
